Portable Appliance Testing for Bristol, Bath, Bournemouth, Salisbury and Southampton And the South West
Patinspect are PAT testing specialists covering all major towns and cities in the South West such as Bristol, Bath, Bournemouth, Salisbury and Southampton to name but a few….. We undertake portable appliance testing for a wide range of schools and businesses throughout Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire.
What is Portable Appliance Testing or PAT Testing?
All electrical equipment to be PAT tested has to be disconnected from the mains supply for a couple of minutes. Even though this is a relatively short period of time we realise the inconvenience that this still may cause, especially in a busy working environment; however , because our engineers liaise closely with you, any disruption can be kept to an absolute minimum. We also provide out of hours & weekend service when required.
Each item is given a full visual inspection, followed by the appropriate electrical safety tests using the most up to date computerised equipment.
All items that pass the inspection & testing will be labelled with a safety sticker. Minor faults found during the course of the inspection can be repaired as we find them and the appliance re-tested. If we are unable to repair items then you will be notified by our engineer prior to their departure. Our engineers carry a range of items such as extension and power supply leads with them which can be provided if required to prevent disruption.
On completion of the testing you will be sent a detailed typed geographical report that provides information on each individual item tested including its location and whether it has passed or failed, enabling you to find the item easily.
We also provide our customers with a separate fails report where applicable. These prove especially useful to our larger customers who may have numerous failed items on site and who wish to use this report to record the action taken with the item, ie. disposed of / repaired.
We will remind you when your testing is due again to prevent items being ‘out of date’.
